Im definitely on my Christmas wind down right now and after the heaviest snowfall we've had in Birmingham for a long time we decided that Sunday was a perfect day to venture up to the Frankfurt Christmas Market. Its the largest Christmas Market in the UK and one of the largest in the world outside of Germany. We spent time browsing the stalls, taking photos and of course indulging in the glugwein and hot chocolates.
There are only a few days left of the market if you want to visit and starting right outside of New Street station its really handy to get too, stretching all the way up to Victoria Square and through Paradise Forum.
This is a very picture heavy post but I hope you enjoy them.

ReplyDeleteoh I havent had a chance to get to one of the Christmas markets this year, there is a small French market where live but I felt too ill this morning to even pop over to it-I must do a trip up to B'ham in the new year when I get chance as these pics are making me feel a bit 'homesick'!!

It looks a lot like Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park! Although German Christmas markets are quite different... I would say a bit more "traditional"... Is yours as overpriced as the one in London? 4 Pounds for a German sausage or a tiny cup of mulled wine? WTF?!
