My city deal- Groupon

I discovered this site a while back and thought i'd share it here. Originally I signed up as they were offering cinema tickets for a pound but have since bought a couple more deals.

You set your homepage to be whichever city/ town you live in and every day you are emailled the deal of the day, if enough people sign up, your voucher is emailed and money then taken from your account. You can also deals from other cities, handy if your heading to London for the weekend.

I first bought two hair cuts and finishes at Nicky Clarke for £29 - which I though was a really good deal, im booked in for my second cut next month!

I've bought a three course meal at a fantastic restaurant with cocktails for £10.

Another deal I bought was £3 for £20 worth of photo printing at posterxxl.co.uk. For my £3 I created both of these photo books, one from my last trip to NY, Boston & Miami and the second was my California, Mexico and Miami trip a few years back. I choose the smaller of the sizes and customised the pages how I wanted from the selections offered. All I paid was delivery.

Purchases

Over the last few weeks i've bought a few things:

Chiffon lace dress, very similar to the Topshop version. Bought at a summer fayre held on the square outside.
Silver fringed earrings from Urban Outfitters again bought at the fayre, I could have bought so much more, there was piles of UO jewellery.
Coral cotton summer dress from H&M .

Pastel turquoise flower bought to pin to a dress or in my hair

Khaki maxi dress from Dorothy Perkins, a nice heavy jersey and not too long to wear with flats.
Grey jersey gillet from All Saints. I love grey jersey just a bit too much and this goes over everything.
Navy and white striped boat neck dress from H&M.
Cream crochet v neck shift dress from Zara. Bought for a wedding I have next month. I love this so much.

Books - The Backpacker, Lolita, To Kill a Mockingbird, A girl for all Seasons and Valley of the Dolls.
DVD's - Body of Lies and Almost Famous.

Now apart from a couple of beauty buys im shopped out for a little while.

Fields of fun

This weekend passed has been such fun. A friend held a festival to celebrate his 30th birthday. No expense spared!

We gained entry using our festival lanyards - yes there were bouncers on the field gate!

Set up camp, 3 girls in a two man tent is a little squeezed but cosy at night.

Headed off to meet friends and quench our thirst.

Watched the tug-of-war and attempted to join in a game of rounders

Danced and sang along to bands all afternoon and night.

Got decorated in face paint and giltter.

Watched the sun come up before the big pack-up and headed back home.

Quite possibly the best birthday party i'll ever go to.

Beaches

Surf's up

Really craving some beach action right now. Sadly there's nothing planned til summer next year, i'll just have to make the most of the fairly good summer we're having so far.

I really wish these chuck taylors would magically appear in my wardrobe, I think they be the perfect first pair of converse for me. I missed the shorts at topshop and this great holdall is from Urban outfitters although could be the US site as i've never seen it over here.

When the sun shines

I find it so hard to keep up with the blog when the weather has been as warm as it has. My holiday was lovely bar a couple of stormy days and the weekends since have been spent outdoors with friends. Weeknights have been spent watching nearly every world cup game - i've really been enjoying it. My sweepstake team are still in - come on The Netherlands in the final!

Here are a few snaps from Lake Garda -Italy, mostly we soaked up the sunshine but did take a trip to Venice when the weather was bad.

This weekend just gone was a hen weekend for one of my best friends, we took her out for a wild wigs night on Friday followed by a more civilised overnight stay at The Belfry for a spa weekend. Again the sun shone and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

What else have I been up to:

Watched Twighlight Eclipse on Sunday.
Stocked up on new books.
I've bought a fair few new items of clothing and accessories which I'll photo soon.
