A little bit of vintage

I'm really happy right now, I ticked couple of items off my wish list recently.
First up was a pair of tan ankle boots, I had been waiting impatiently for a pair from Office after seeing them in Elle nearly 3 months ago, I did however find this vintage pair on Ebay. The leather is beautiful and I'm so pleased, they were only £21.
Second was a pair of loafers, I hadn't found 'The' pair yet but a pair of black patent Miss KG ones came close. Again ebay worked its magic and I found these very sensible yet perfect pair. I actually prefer this pair and love the buckle detail all for a purse friendly £4.20.

Forever 21 Birmingham opening day Bullring Birmingham

I decided I'd brave the opening morning for the Forever 21 store in the Bullring, when I arrived there was a very civilised queue which started to snake around the top level and when it came to opening the store you couldn't even see Amber Le Bon, I could only hear a series of cheers! As we entered we were handed a goody bag and I headed straight up to the shoes and accesories area on the top floor, it was nice and empy for about 10 minutes before the store was swarmed.
It really is a huge store and you need a good hour or two to browse it properly, The shoes I wanted weren't there so I wandered around slowly picking up a few items to try. I honestly didn't see that much I loved and a couple of the pieces I did like were litterally starting to fall apart before i'd even tried them on - buttons popping off whilst hanging a skirt up, unravelling fringe whilst walking around the store and the fit on the majority of items I tried wasn't the best......
I did feel slightly disapointed in the clothing there but I guess im not really the target audience, the accessories are great value and there is a huge range dotted throughout the store. Im not rushing to head back but im sure i'll pop in when im in the mood for it.
The best thing about the store is the merchandising - it is fabulous! Tea parties, rule britannia and into the wild were a few of the themes I spotted and shown on my photos.
So although I didn't buy nearly as much as i'd hoped, I did take home a pair of khaki slim leg cords and a felt hat and im sure i'll pick up a few great buys in the future.

Blog im loving
Apologies for my lack of posts recently, this last week has been spent on race tracks, in aeroplanes, car garages, and not enough time at home or in bed! Full posting to resume next week as I have a few new purchases to share.
I hope you have great weekends, Matt is taking me to see Harry Potter tonight (I seriously cannot wait!) and my oldest friends whom I haven't seen for a whole year are coming to stay. Good times.
Todays Blog im loving is Canned Fashion, Natalie is cute as a button and her style is just simply stylish - I love it. Check out her blog.

In good hands
I've been slathering on hand cream to keep the winter dryness at bay recently and thought i'd do a post on my top tips for hand care.
What hand products can't you live without?

Wearing a watercolour
Matt and I met some friends for an impromptu dinner on Friday night which then ended in far too many Sailor Jerry rums in the pub! I was dressed far more suitably for dinner than I was for the pub, I spent a fair bit of time trying to avoid drinks getting spilled on my skirt and fur coat but a very fun night all the same!
I've had this silk skirt for a couple of years now and its still one of my favorites, I love the colours and the watercolour print. I kept everything else nice and simple.

Kate vs Nicole?
I had a good old browse of the Kate Moss collection for Topshop this morning but didn't buy anything, the prices were pretty expensive I thought.
When looking at her new jewellery collection I did notice that a few of the rings and pendants looked familiar. Although not a complete copy they defintely look House of Harlow 1960 inspired to me. What do you think?
Despite the HoH pieces being more expensive they look better quality and i'd spend the extra, I really want the sunburst pendant, ring and earrings.
Did you buy anything from the KM collection today?

Best of Kate Moss?
I noticed that tomorrows launch of the final kate Moss x Topshop collection contains a few dresses that look familiar! The red 'Pansy' dress the light blue 'Pansy' dress and the black 'one shouldered 'Dobby' dress were all sell outs when released in previous collections.
Alexa in hers this summer.
I'll also be checking out this grey knit too.
Did you miss out on any of the dresses the first time? Will you be looking at any of them tomorrow?
I actually have all three dresses already although the purple version of the Poppy dress and white version of the Dobby dress but am seriously thinking about getting a back up of the blue Pansy dress. I've worn this dress so much, its defintely one of my favourites.

Playing with leaves
On friday we decided to head down into the square for a bit of fresh air and made the most of the masses of crispy orange and gold leaves. At one point under the tree I was knee deep in them - lots of fun.
Not the most stylish of outfits i'll admit but cosy all the same!
