Pile on basics

This outfit really consists of my favourite basics, black, denim, stripes and ankle boots. Its so easy to wear and I can pile on the accessories.


My hair is the same as the last outfit post.... I don't know how I managed to wake up with a perfectly roughed up version of the bun from the night before but it worked for me - one bobby pin and away I went!

Chanel Dragee

I think I have had this polish for about 8 years now and its still perfect, no drying out at all. I usually like stronger colours but when my nails are a little longer I prefer something lighter in colour and more subtle.


Dragee is a creamy nude peach with the faintest hint of shimmer. This is with three coats as I wanted it nice and opaque. One or two coats would be perfect for a french manicure.

Party pleasures

Friday night saw me glammed up for my friends 21st birthday party with a hollywood glam theme. I didn't buy anything new but instead pulled out my trusty favourite little black dress, you last saw me wear here.

Booked

I'm a very happy bunny this week, Matt and I plus four friends have booked a little holiday. We'll be out on a greek island in 6 weeks. I'm feeling very impatient, the infinity pool is waiting.....

Beige and black

Dinner out with Matt last week was disappointing, the service was very average, the food was sent back once, tasted bland and was bad quality but we had a good night together despite that. Its just annoying looking forward to dinner out all week only to leave most of it on the plate. A strongly worded email will be sent later today.


Pretty much the whole outfit is new, My jewellery on the other hand is very old, the rings were my mums when she was 18 and 21 and the solid gold watch inherited from my great aunt and the bronze silver and gold bracelet was from the same aunt. I rarely wear gold so it was a nice change for me. These are also the matte black glasses I showed you here.

Hit the sales

I haven't bought masses in the sales but i'm really pleased with what I have bought.


These boots i've wanted since they sold out at Topshop months ago, I stopped off at an out of town Topshop near me and I spotted one pair left which happened to be my size and less than half price. I love it when that happens.

The sandals again i'd been eyeing up on Zara online for the last few months - they've actually featured in a few of my 'wanted' posts. A great basic sandal that will hopefully get a fair bit of use this summer.

This bag I hadn't seen at Zara before but put a buttery soft leather pouch bag with gold hardware in front of me at half price and i'm interested! Especially as I don't own a single black day bag, a situation which needed rectifying.

I bought the cardigan from Urban Outfitters after wanting a rusty orangey jacket or cardigan for a while. I had to be very restrained in the UO sale, I really could have spent £££s

I'm sure these will all be featuring in outfit posts to come very soon.

What has been your best sale buy so far? 

Summer scent

This summer i'm completely addicted to this Dolce and Gabbana fragrance, not a new one by any means but I only got around to buying it a few months back. It's so fresh and what I think of as a powdery smell. (I'm no expert at describing top notes and end notes as you can tell!)

The bottle isn't the prettiest but designed well enough so you can thrown it into your bag to spritz through out the day. Next time you are near a perfume counter have a quick spray as I think it smells quite addictive!
