Stila launch Harvey Nichols

Last weekend was so much fun I started off the weekend on Thursday night and was invited to the Stila re-launch at Harvey Nichols, Mailbox. I was shown the whole range and given in depth information about the new products on offer.

The main products that stood out to me were the Custom Color Blush in Self Adjusting Coral and Pink, the blush reacts with your own ph balance to find the perfect shade. I tried the pink and its gorgeous so pretty yet is neon looking in the compact. Highly pigmented I only needed the tiniest bit for a sweet pink blush.

The One Step Correct is a serum with three colour correcter brightners swirled in (the product in the packaging looks amazing), the green neutralises redness and conceals blemishes, Lavender counteracts sallowness and the peach brightens and diminishes the appearance of sunspots. I tried a squirt on my hand and instantly the three tones evened out my skin and it looked so bright and healthy. I took one of these away so I look forward to trying on my face.

The sparkle liquid eyeliners were just gorgeous, intense colour, so easy to swipe on and didn't budge once they were dry, the khaki green was my favourite and I went home with my eyes made over. I was also shown how to perfect the cat eye flick which has been so helpful. Guide and start the flick from the corner eyeline underneath your eye not the top eyelid towards the end of your brow - works for me now!

Overall I was really impressed with the products, alot of technology has gone into the formulations and all the colors are so wearable and pigmented, not the most fashion forward brand but a high quality well packaged collection.

Thank you to the Stila girls at Harvey Nichols for my personal tutorial and Leah for the invite.

A little raffia

I haven't worn these snakeskin raffia wedges for an awfully long time. They're so comfy though so it was time for an outing and making the most of the late summer sunshine at the weekend.

Style Birmingham Live 2011

Photobucket

I can't believe a year has passed since the event last September, you can see last years posts on it here and here.

I'll be attending again this weekend and look forward to both the shows at the Bullring and Town Hall plus a few blogger events happening over the weekend. I'll be back with lots of photos no doubt - do any of you have tickets or fancy going along this weekend? I'm sure there's still tickets available and it really is a great day out.

More beach photos including some snorkelling action which was so much fun! Had to watch out for those urchins though - they were big!

Corfu beach part 1

We spent everyday at the beach sunbathing on one of two piers. The water was crystal clear, full of fish and the perfect temperature to cool off, we had alot of fun playing around with pedalos, inflatables, playing beach ball. I'd do anything to be back there right now!

Corfu Town

We took the bus into the old town part of Corfu town for a really pleasant stroll around the small shops, a leisurely beer stop and a gyros pitta for lunch - so good!
