I have been after this polish for ages, it doesn't seem to be for sale in the UK anymore and the ebay prices are crazy! I saw it when we were in Hawaii and snapped it up straight away.
I never buy shimmer polishes as I usually don't like them, this however is lovely. Tiny, fine shimmery glitter particles in a light pewtery silver. Quite sci-fi!
It would make a lovely accent nail polish too.
What polish have you bought recently?

Smart wool
I've got quite a few new things on today! I haven't owned a smart wool winter coat for quite a while and had quite a trouble finding something I liked. I chose black so it would go with pretty much anything and decided on this boxy oversized blazer style which fitted well with my style I think. The quality of the wool is amazing, thick, soft and I can tell this coat will last me years. I was prepared to pay a decent sum knowing it would serve me well for a few years and was happily suprised finding it in the sale in Reiss
The shoes are also new, my only pair of flats! I had been after some slippers and set my heart on the Jeffery Campbell studded pair but they had a weird fit on my feet. These ones are leather and also leather lined, have a decent sturdy sole and very small heel and have lovely black spiked studs.
These photos were taken in the city centre whilst out for lunch when I was on a little secret assignment which I can't wait to share with you!

New in - Alexander Wang Rockie
My latest bag which I picked up in Las Vegas is the Alexander Wang Rockie. The smaller brother to the famous and much loved Rocco.
I originally wanted black but seeing the smooth leather was slightly put off and it only came in brass hardware at the time which I didn't want. I soon as I spied this version in Barneys I knew this was the one! The colour is Iodine a dark rich purple/aubergine a bit like squid ink with pewter hardware and a long body strap as well as the two arm handles.
It fits in as much as I need - tablet, wallet, mobile, make-up bag and has two phone pockets and an inner zip. The Rockie is heavy for a smaller bag but compared to the Rocco alot lighter. If anyone has picked up a Rocco you'll know how heavy they are without anything in. The zip is slightly different curving over the top of the bag instead of straight across meaning it's easier to put things in and take out.
The quality of the leather is beautiful, look at the pebbling on it and it's tough too.
As you can tell i'm pretty smitten with my new buy and you'll see it coming up in an outfit post very soon!
Is your eye on any bag at the moment?

Luxx List #3
I thought a beauty Luxx List was in order as i'm after a few products, some new some tried and tested.
Creme de La Mer - The mist. I really need a new toner and like the idea of being able to spritz this on a cotton pad and wipe over my face as well as using it as a hydrating mist under and over make-up. Apparently air hostesses swear by it!
YSL - Perfect Touch foundation. I have had a quick swipe of this foundation on the back of my hand, really to tell the consistency. Anything drying or matte is an instant no but this seemed to have a nice finish and felt quite dewy - has anyone tried this?
YSL - Touche eclat hardly needs a write up, i'm not sure why I ever stopped using it.
Guerlain - Metorites. I'm intrigued by these illuminating pearls (plus they look beautiful) has anyone any reviews?
Kiehls - Smoothing hair concentrate oil sounds great as a finishing product for those pesky fly aways that are batting around my face currently.
Finally the June Ainscough brush in my favourite mint green colour.
What's on your beauty wish list at the minute?

Autumnal khaki
First outfit post in a long time, i'm wearing my new coat which feels more like a comfort blanket! Furry sheepskin hood and lining keeps me very cosy and has been worn every day since buying I think.
We took these photos in Bournville where Matt works. You can smell chocolate in the air from the Cadbury's factory which made me very hungary. This location is part of the Cadbury's grounds, it was a chilly yet perfect Autumn day.
I waved my hair - a nice change from straight I think? Although it takes a little heat styling I do like the beach look, it feels much more casual than my usual do.

Hawaii - Food and drink
My final post from Hawaii is a few snaps of restaurants we visited just in case you are ever in the area!
The Hula Grill in Waikiki
Ted's Bakery - North Shore
You can stop off here on the main road to buy your milk and fresh baked bakery items and the famous specialty - chocolate cream pie! We were there for a savoury stop after a beach visit and sat outside in the courtyard eating.
Shave Ice
I was really looking forward to trying this in Hawaii as it has a good reputation and a few of the sellers claim to be the original and best....! I have to say I was disappointed, it's so sickly sweet, still it makes a pretty picture.

Kono's in Hale'iwa
Pulled pork is a Hawaiin speciality, we tried it two ways here for lunch - absolutely delicious!
I loved the 'Wall of Flame'!
Food trucks are quite common in Oahu (and prettily decorated), we passed trucks with fresh cooked shrimp, pizza - we tried this one. Next time i'm determined to sample more from them!
That's it from my amazing holiday, I hope you enjoyed the posts. I'm going to be sad now i've stopped reminiscing but i'm am positive i'll be back to visit the magical islands again.
